Beech Construction Services is hiring an experienced Underground Utility Foreman to lead grading and utility crews on projects across Middle Tennessee. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with experience in sitework, excavation, grading, and underground utilities who can drive production, maintain safety, and deliver high-quality work.
Candidates with experience as a Utility Foreman, Sitework Foreman, Excavation Foreman, Pipe Foreman, or Underground Utilities Foreman are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise crews performing grading, excavation, and underground utility installation
- Oversee installation of storm drain, sanitary sewer, water main, and underground electrical systems
- Manage daily production, labor, equipment, and jobsite performance
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and crew schedules
- Conduct daily safety meetings and equipment inspections
- Submit daily reports, photos, and updates using iPads/tablets/mobile apps
- Communicate with Superintendents, inspectors, and vendors
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years experience supervising underground utility or sitework crews
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, and utility construction
- Experience with storm drain, sewer, water main, and underground electrical
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable using technology for reporting and scheduling
- OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- OSHA Trench Safety or Confined Space training
- Experience with GPS grade control / layout
- CDL or equipment operation experience
- Experience with air testing, hydrostatic testing, or mandrel testing
