Professional Organizer Position Description
Overview
This role is responsible for providing our clients Compassionate, Confidential, and Judgement Free organizational services. You will work in a variety of locations throughout the metro area providing home organization, business organization, and move & life transition.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Act in a stewardship capacity for Bee Organized, working as a functional member of the team, with the ability to self-direct and self-regulate your workday.
- Provide a consistent line of communication between the Client, other Organizers on the job, and Management.
- Review job overview, pictures and estimated hours prior to project start.
- Work with co-organizers to split duties/establish a “game plan” prior to the work session.
- Manage the pick and return of organizing product.
- Take and record projects with Before & After pictures.
- Be mindful of estimated hours and actual hours, communicating to Management if there might be a variance.
- On multiple day jobs, communicate the status of the job with the client at the end of each day and game plan for the following day or work session.
- Coordinate extra services (i.e. junk hauling, donation pick-up, etc.).
- At the end of the job, walk the client through space to explain systems, locations, labels, growth areas and more.
- Drop off donations utilizing your personal vehicle (1 car load maximum) and obtain a receipt.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation
Beginning pay for this position is $23.00/hour during the training period. Performance reviews with potential for increased earnings will occur annually. Tips and additional bonuses will occur as well.
You will be paid for shop time, travel time and mileage if a job is over 30 miles from Melrose, donation drop off time and any time spent running errands for a project assigned.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position. There is no guarantee of consistent hours, as some weeks are fully booked and other weeks there may be few or no jobs. You must be able to offer a minimum of 3 days availability each week.

Working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the professional organizing industry.
Natural and demonstrated skills in organization, facilitation, and communication.
Willingness to pack, coordinate and assist clients moving or in times of transition. Willingness to work in basements and attics, where you may get dirty.
Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and listen. The employee must be able to communicate fluently in English. The employee is frequently required to use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach. The employee will be required to stand, walk, squat, bend, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Must have a personal vehicle and ability to travel, sometimes with short notice, to project location.
Locations
The jobs will be located north of Boston, west of Boston, and downtown Boston. Must be willing to drive and travel to jobs in these areas.
