Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated full-time Veterinary Surgical Tech to join our team in Bee Cave, TX. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a highly skilled and compassionate environment, assisting in surgical procedures while ensuring compliance with best practices in patient care.

THE BASICS

Pay: We offer a competitive wage of $18 - $22/hour.

Schedule: This full-time role follows a consistent schedule with no weekend shifts:

• Monday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

YOUR DAY AS A VETERINARY SURGICAL TECH

In this role, you will play an integral part in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and monitoring vitals throughout the process. You will also perform dental radiographs and prophylaxis, assist with IV catheterization, venipuncture, and medication administration, and provide essential client education on surgical procedures, preventative care, and treatment plans. Additionally, you will help maintain compliance with veterinary protocols, ensuring that all procedures and patient records align with regulatory and best-practice standards. Your role will require attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient well-being.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VETERINARY SURGICAL TECH

• 2 years of surgical assisting experience
• Experience with dental radiographs/prophylaxis, IV catheterization, venipuncture, and administering medications/vaccines/treatments as directed by a veterinarian
• Animal handling experience
• Radiology experience
• Proficiency with medical record-keeping and client education
• Strong customer service skills
