Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Veterinary experience is required.
- Basic customer service skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Ability to frequently to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Required to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
Schedule:
- 4 shifts per week
- Overtime and Saturdays may be required.
Duties include:
- Proper animal restraint.
- Assist Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Assist in taking radiographs.
- Prepare surgical suite before surgical procedures and clean/restock after.
- Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments, surgical packs, gowns, and drapes.
- Knowledge of names and locations of all instruments and equipment used in surgery.
- Scrub in and assist in surgeries as needed.
- Bathe animals.
