What are the responsibilities and job description for the B - MAINTENANCE BACKUP DRIVER position at Bedrock Landscaping?
- Safely operate company trucks, trailers, and equipment when assigned as a driver
- Transport crew, tools, and materials to job sites in a timely manner
- Assist with routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and cleanup
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Ensure all equipment is secured properly during transport
- Follow all safety guidelines and traffic laws
- Support crew leaders with job site setup and breakdown
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work environment
- Step into driver role as needed to maintain workflow and scheduling
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
- Experience driving trucks and trailers (landscaping industry preferred)
- Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Comfortable working in heat, cold, and varying outdoor conditions
