Job Summary :
Performs daily Housekeeping duties inside and outside Facility under supervision of Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, dust mops, damp/wet mops floors in hallways, offices and common areas daily
- Cleans soiled areas, empties trash cans, replaces can liners, cleans bathrooms, sinks, toilets and other areas
- Keeps equipment and work areas clean, safe organized and keeps equipment and supplies properly stored
- Communicates courteously with staff in other Departments to adequately meet the needs of the Residents
- Ensures equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly and all cleaning solutions are properly labeled
- Maintains cleanliness of all baseboards throughout the building
- Helps clean tables and floors in dining room and day rooms after meals
- Cleans and changes privacy curtains and drapery in Residents’ rooms as scheduled, or as needed
- Cleans carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting
Qualifications :
Must be able to read and write at a level necessary to understand Company Policies, applicable Laws and Regulations regarding job duties; prefer previous Housekeeping experience in a long-term care Facility; must be in good physical condition and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check
