Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional growth for children in your care
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play
- Foster positive behavior through effective behavior management techniques and nurturing caregiving approaches
- Manage classroom environments to encourage independence, creativity, and respectful interactions among children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is a plus
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus, but I can get you certified
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively is a plus
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of children and the daycare environment
