What you’d be doing: RV Technicians in our PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) department thoroughly inspect every RV that is sold to ensure that everything is in working order, make any necessary repairs, and install optional RV accessories. Although some light automotive work may be performed (ie refilling fluids), this is not an automotive technician position. Think of an RV as a “house on wheels” – RV Technicians focus on the “house,” rather than the “wheels.” Paid training is provided.
What we’re looking for:
- Self-motivated go-getters with a strong work ethic and solid work history
- Experience in one or more skilled building trades (electric, plumbing, carpentry) is strongly preferred
- Mechanically inclined with a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to learn and grow in a long-term career with a stable, award-winning company
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, maneuver in small spaces, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, and work at heights up to 15 feet.
What you need to know: Regular hours are Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm, with rotating ½-day Saturdays and 1-2 evenings per week until 7pm. This is an hourly, non-exempt position which means that you are eligible for overtime pay. Starting pay ranges from $17 - $22 per hour, depending on your skills and experience. Starting pay for a Technician may be in the $20-22/hour range; a Technician Apprentice may start in the $17-19/hour range. This position is also eligible for monthly productivity bonuses.
