What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at Beckett Thermal Solutions?
Role:
- Reports directly to the Interim Director of Customer Care of North America
- Responsible for the production planning and scheduling of the North Ridgeville and Elyria facilities
- Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle
- Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery date
- Manage all the production scheduling and ensure the materials, machines and work cells are in position to produce, project, and to fulfill customer orders (demand)
- Monitor the overall situation, including incoming orders, supply chain problems, market changes and inventory issues, to minimize the impact on production
- Proactively collaborate with other departments and the management team to set production goals and ensure the workforce needs are met with proper scheduling of colleagues.
- Utilization of the conceptions of lean manufacturing principles to ensure the continuous flow of production through the production facility, promote process improvements, with an emphasis on increased efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure awareness of any production disruptions and productivity problems and adjustment planning and scheduling accordingly.
- Proactively review customer forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes and adjust productions schedules accordingly:
- Daily planning, scheduling, and coordinating production of the products to meet customer demands.
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment availability, capacity, and resources, to ensure everything is in place for production.
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management including:
- Production actuals vs goals
- Daily/Weekly schedule reviews and updates
- Past Due/Over-Under Reports
Requirements:
- Highschool diploma required.
- Practical and extensive working knowledge and experience of production processes and quality control in the manufacturing environment
- Microsoft office skills. (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Strong positive, straight forward communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of colleagues
- Organizational and time-management skills with the ability of managing a variety of responsibilities and tasks
