Mechanical Construction-Sr. Project Manager
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee mechanical construction projects, with a focus on HVAC systems. This role is responsible for guiding projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring alignment with safety standards, financial targets, timelines, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and enforce jobsite safety standards while promoting a strong safety-first culture
- Oversee project documentation, including tracking, reviewing, and maintaining accuracy across all records
- Define and manage project scope, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and client objectives
- Coordinate project schedules, field teams, and resource allocation to support successful execution
- Lead procurement efforts, including vendor coordination, material purchasing, and delivery timelines
- Contribute to project estimating and budgeting efforts
- Manage project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Assist in business development efforts, including supporting proposals and client engagement activities
Qualifications
- Willingness to travel as project demands require
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing construction projects
- Strong background in mechanical systems, specifically HVAC
- Proven ability to interpret and work from construction drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of design methodologies, tools, and industry best practices
- Working knowledge of business and management principles, including:
- Operational processes and financial performance
- Budgeting and cost control
- Client relationship management
- Business development and sales support strategies
- Contracting and legal considerations within the construction industry
