Regional Property Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Regional Property Manager to lead and oversee multiple residential properties within a designated region. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and financial performance of our properties while delivering exceptional customer service to residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive property management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. As a Regional Property Manager, you will drive team success, optimize property performance, and foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple property sites, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards.
• Lead, motivate, and manage property management teams across various locations to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for property leasing, rent collection, budgeting, and expense control to maximize profitability.
• Ensure all properties adhere to Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other applicable legal requirements.
• Manage lease or rental agreement processes, including negotiations, renewals, and contract compliance using property management tools like Yardi and OneSite.
• Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management activities to maintain high standards of property condition and resident satisfaction.
• Conduct regular site inspections, resolve conflicts efficiently through conflict management techniques, and address resident concerns promptly via excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and other administrative processes.
• Collaborate with leasing teams to upsell available units and improve occupancy rates through effective client communication and sales strategies.
• Prepare reports on property performance metrics, budgets, and compliance status for senior management review.

Skills

• Extensive experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, Section 8 programs, and contracts management.
• Proven ability in team management with excellent leadership skills; capable of motivating staff across multiple locations.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client communication and relationship building.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and administrative tasks.
• Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and expense control within property management companies or real estate settings.
• Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation tactics, and handling sensitive legal or contractual issues effectively.
• Familiarity with property maintenance operations as well as facilities management practices; able to coordinate repairs efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills including data entry accuracy, filing systems management, and office experience.
• Excellent phone etiquette combined with the ability to upsell units or services to prospective residents or clients.
