Law Enforcement/Public Safety Instructors (Multiple 1099 Contract Roles)

Becker Digital, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting government and public sector clients nationwide, is building a roster of experienced public safety, law enforcement, military, corrections, defensive tactics, and tactical medical training professionals for upcoming instructor opportunities in the NoVA / DMV region.
We are seeking experienced professionals for multiple contract roles supporting instructor-led, scenario-based staff safety and operational readiness training.
Current Opportunities (Multiple Positions - Part-time/1099)
We are recruiting professionals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Program Leadership / Lead Instructors
Professionals with experience leading training programs, managing instructor teams, coordinating schedules, ensuring instructional quality, and serving as the primary training lead.
Officer Safety / Defensive Tactics Instructors
Professionals with experience teaching:
- Situational awareness
- Threat recognition
- Use-of-force decision-making
- De-escalation
- Defensive tactics
- Escape and disengagement techniques
OC Spray / Tactical Medical Instructors
Professionals with experience delivering instruction in:
- OC spray tactics and deployment
- Officer survival under stress
- Trauma response
- Self-aid / buddy-aid
- Emergency casualty care
Train-the-Trainer / Instructor Evaluators
Professionals with experience:
- Certifying instructors
- Coaching and evaluating performance
- Conducting Train-the-Trainer programs
- Applying evaluation rubrics and instructional standards
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Minimum 4 years of operational experience in law enforcement, corrections, military, probation/parole, public safety, or related tactical environments
- Minimum 3 years of experience delivering instructor-led training to adult learners
- Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills
- Ability to support in-person training delivery in the Washington, DC / DMV area
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Credentials
Candidates with the following certifications or equivalent experience are highly encouraged to apply:
- FLETA Instructor Certification
- IADLEST National Certification Program
- Master Instructor Certification
- OC Instructor Certification
- Stop the Bleed Instructor
- CPR / AED Instructor
- TCCC or TECC
- Tactical Medic certifications
- Adult learning / instructional design experience
Ideal Backgrounds
We are especially interested in professionals with backgrounds in:
- Federal, state, or local law enforcement
- Community corrections / probation / parole
- Military police or military training commands
- Corrections leadership
- Tactical EMS / Fire / Rescue
- Public safety academy instruction
