Construction Laborer

Job Summary:

Beck Automotive Group is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Construction Laborer to assist with a variety of light construction and building repair projects. This position will support construction efforts through tasks such as drywall installation, carpentry, building repairs, and general job site assistance. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, works well in a fast-paced environment, and brings basic construction knowledge to the team. Experience with plumbing and electrical is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with light construction tasks including drywall installation, carpentry, framing, repairs, and general labor.
• Support construction projects by preparing materials, tools, and work areas.
• Assist with building repairs, renovations, and property improvement projects.
• Perform general site cleanup and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools.
• Help with plumbing and electrical work under direction, when applicable.
• Load, unload, and move materials as needed.
• Use maintenance and work order software on a mobile phone app to review, update, and complete assigned tasks.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate progress or material needs.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and job site requirements.
• Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in construction, general labor, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
• Experience with drywall, carpentry, and general building repairs preferred.
• Plumbing and electrical experience is a plus.
• Must be comfortable using an app on a mobile phone to manage work orders and task updates.
• Experience with MaintainX is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces as needed.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as needed.
