In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.#LI-NP1
Major Responsibilities:
Work Planning & Packaging
Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
Material Management
Initiates requisitions for field purchases
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Technical
Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
System Turnover Coordinator
For Direct Hire:
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
STR / Subcontract Coordinator
Reviews and approves inspection test plans,
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals,
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the following equipment (or equivalents) preferred: Caterpillar Earthmoving Equipment, Demag, Liebherr, Manitowoc, Terex and Grove cranes, JLG, IR forklifts, JLG and Grove Manlifts, along with Caterpillar, Cummins, and Perkins engines.
Understanding of equipment warranties, performance guarantees, and equipment fitness for use.
Knowledge of multi-discipline construction and or operating functions.
Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
Knowledge of heavy-industrial equipment management work processes and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft suite in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
Knowledge in the use of subcontracts and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
Heavy industrial US direct hire construction experience
