**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to lead a group of students in an in-person setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to establish authority and connections through effective communication and patience.
**Responsibilities:**
- Lead a group of students, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety by implementing the four core agreements: Be safe, Be respectful, Be responsible, and Have fun.
- Serve as a positive adult role model for children in the program through appropriate dress, speech, and attitude.
- Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging among students.
- Support students in making positive behavior choices and take disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, school administration, and parents as required.
- Participate in staff development and training.
**Qualifications & Requirements:**
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Additionally, 48 semester/60 quarter units or passing a pre-employment test may be required by the district.
Experience: At least six months of experience working with a group of 10 or more students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment is necessary.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, advanced Math and English skills (K–8), and the ability to support our English-learner population by being bi-literate (Spanish preferred).
