Substation Commissioning Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Commissioning Manager to support the startup and commissioning efforts on a substation project in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience with isolation procedures and relay testing, as well as familiarity with Schweitzer (SEL) relays and test sets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and leading all commissioning activities, including pre-commissioning, construction testing, energization, and close-out. They will also review wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation, troubleshoot protection/control systems, and resolve wiring and setting errors.

- Plan and lead all commissioning activities: pre-commissioning, construction testing, energization, and close-out
- Review wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Troubleshoot protection/control systems, resolve wiring and setting errors, identify equipment malfunctions
- Participate in kickoff, planning, and progress meetings
- Maintain detailed reporting on testing, issues, and recommendations
- Assist in preparing site-specific plans and risk assessments
- Verify all commissioning steps and testing are completed and documented
- Develop and approve test reports across various equipment types
