Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to train operations, including engine operation, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all phases of safe daily train operation.
- Operate equipment according to company policies and practices in areas including safety, equipment usage, and maintenance.
- Will operate track switches, couple cars, and work on freight trains in yard operations and on the road.
- Will review instructions from dispatchers and yardmasters, and discuss with train crew.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and supervisors as needed.
Requirements:
- Driver's license required.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
