What You'll Do:
Beaver Run Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Aquatics & Pool Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of all pools and spas throughout the resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pool chemistry and mechanical systems, along with a proven commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and a dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for guests are essential. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. Employee Housing - first-come, first-served.
Position starts at $24.00-$26.00 per hour DOE.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily water chemistry for all pools, hot tubs, and water features; ensure compliance with local and state health codes.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pool equipment, including filters, pumps, heaters, and chemical feeders.
- Monitor and adjust water levels, temperature, and circulation systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Clean pool and spa areas including decks, tiles, drains, and filters.
- Respond to guest and staff concerns related to aquatic facilities in a courteous and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate logs of chemical readings, maintenance performed, and supply usage.
- Coordinate with outside vendors as needed for larger repairs or inspections.
- Maintain upkeep of general pool areas and amenities.
- Assists the maintenance department with other duties as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent - required
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification - required
- Demonstrated knowledge of pool chemistry, operations, and mechanical systems - required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in varying weather conditions, and handle physically demanding tasks - required
- Experience in hospitality, resort, or large commercial pool environments - preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing or HVAC systems - preferred
