Job Summary
Beaver Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, a premier long-term care and rehabilitation facility, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Social Services to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the social services department, including social workers, activities coordinators, and volunteers, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to meet the social, emotional, and psychological needs of our patients and residents
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address resident concerns and needs, providing support and resources as needed
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide counseling to residents and their families
- Recruit, train, and supervise social workers and activities coordinators to ensure high-quality services
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources, organizations, and healthcare providers to enhance resident services and outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to social services and patient rights
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Minimum Years of Experience: 0)
- Licensure in Social Work (LSW) or Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania (Level of Education: n/a)
- Proven experience in social services, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a focus on resident-centered care
