Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications, and nail care treatments.
- Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable nail polish shades and designs that complement clients’ skin tones and preferences.
- Conduct sanitation and disinfection procedures in accordance with salon safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice on nail care, and upsell retail products such as nail polishes, treatments, or accessories.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques, and new product offerings to continually enhance your skills.
- Collaborate with team members on salon safety protocols, inventory management, and promotional activities to boost overall salon performance.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of nail art and treatment techniques. (New talent: let us know and we can create a program for you to grow and learn.)
- Knowledge of nail extensions, acrylic application, gel manicures, and advanced nail care methods.
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols including sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and client communication best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform pedicures, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, barbering, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build lasting client relationships.
- Experience in retail sales or upselling beauty products is desirable for maximizing client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Certification in Cosmetology or related fields is required; ongoing education in new techniques.
