Beautiful Mandarin Language Institute is hiring 1–2 Summer Camp Mandarin Teachers for our 2026 Summer Story Studio Camp in Midtown Manhattan.
Our camp is designed for children ages 5–13 and helps them learn Mandarin through storytelling, games, creative activities, hands-on projects, and immersive Chinese learning experiences.
We are looking for energetic, caring, and creative teachers who love working with children and can help create a fun, engaging, and supportive summer camp environment.
This is a seasonal temporary position for approximately one month during Summer 2026. Teachers may work either half day or full day, Monday through Friday, depending on camp enrollment and scheduling needs.
Camp Schedule
Half Day: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Full Day: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
- Teach and support children in a Mandarin immersion summer camp setting
- Lead or assist with storytelling, games, songs, crafts, movement, and hands-on activities
- Encourage children to use Mandarin in a natural, fun, and engaging way
- Help create a warm, safe, positive, and well-organized classroom environment
- Manage student behavior with patience, care, and professionalism
- Prepare activity materials and support daily classroom setup and cleanup
- Supervise students during transitions, activities, snack time, and lunch as needed
- Work closely with the camp team and school staff
Qualifications
- Native Mandarin speaker
- Fluent in English
- Enjoy working with children ages 5–13
- Responsible, patient, energetic, and professional
- College student or college graduate welcome
- Prior teaching, tutoring, camp, classroom, or childcare experience preferred
- Must be able to work in person in Midtown Manhattan during Summer 2026
