What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Bus Driver position at Beaufort County South Carolina?
The purpose of this position is to provide transportation in a courteous and safe manner. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Operate various transportation vehicles.
- Assists participants with entering and exiting the bus, and with wheelchairs and walkers.
- Follows established County rules and regulations related to operation use of bus.
- Provides reports on routing, passengers, maintenance, and mileage.
- Cleans interior and exterior of vehicles daily.
- Inspects bus daily for any damages.
- Checks bus engine for issues.
- Assists staff members as requested.
- Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Over three months and up to and including six months of related experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
