POSITION PURPOSE: To facilitate the provisions of SC state CATE requirements and grant management.   
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must have knowledge of the policies, procedures and activities of the school district which pertain to the specific duties and responsibilities of the job; knowledge of applicable local, state and federal regulations and guidelines; knowledge of the records, forms and reports which must be prepared and maintained; knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment, materials, and supplies used in daily activities; has thorough and comprehensive knowledge of current research in programs for students with disabilities procedures, legal issues, instruction and assessment.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate the design, development, and implementation of the school's CATE programs; ability to operate general office equipment in the performance of daily activities; ability to identify the accomplishments, needs and problems of the program; ability to interact in an effective manner with building level administration, teachers, district staff, parents, etc.; ability to prepare and maintain required records and reports.
  • Assist the Director and Assistant Director in planning, monitoring, and evaluating school needs as relating to state and local funding sources.
  • Coordinates with the building level administrators to ensure CATE compliance as it relates to the state College and Career Readiness Accountability model.
  • At the request of the building level administrator, ensures compliance with guidelines of the Perkin's Act.
  • Assist in the data collection for district, state and federal reporting.
  • Collaborates with administrators and staff members to inventory and track all assets entering the school.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all school standardized testing related to industry certification for Career and Technology programs.
  • At the request of the building level administrator provides technical assistance to administrators, staff, school faculties, parents, related service providers and others relative to all instructional/related service issues in reference to CATE programs at the school.
  • Assists with implementing district strategic plan priorities.
  • Attend district, regional, state, and national meeting and conferences as required for professional and program development.
  • Effectively operates technology
  • Conducts other activities and oversee project implementation as determined appropriate by the building level administrators.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and laws.
  • Collaborate with leadership to solicit funds by engaging in grant writing activities to obtain funding for identified programs, initiatives and services.
  • PowerSchool and Data Management. Oversee all student data entry and reporting within PowerSchool. Schedule and enter industry certification test results into PowerSchool. Enter master schedule, teacher schedules, and student schedules, set up and manage staff PowerSchool accounts and maintain access rights. Run accurate, real-time PowerSchool reports for use by administration and instructional staff. Serve as ACE's PowerSchool liaison to BCSD and JCSD and provide support to feeder schools. manage key SIS processes including annual rollovers, school setup, attendance, discipline, and scheduling.
  • Other supervisory duties as required by the Director and Assistant Director. 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of ACE, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must maintain all licenses/requirements to drive a company vehicle
  • Must have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in Career and Technology programming.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of CATE regulations, curriculum, and programming.
