Athletic Study Hall Coordinator

POSITION PURPOSE: To conduct the planned activities and oversight of the athletic study hall program so that it is a safe and enriching environment for the participants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Adhere to the Before and After School Child Care Quality Standards.
• Directly supervise or facilitate activities or areas to provide appropriate experiences for students.
• Set and maintain appropriate standards for student behavior using non-punitive methods, which teach self-discipline while supporting student self-esteem.
• Provide direct supervision of work areas and student activities to ensure safety and quality.
• Assist in procuring equipment and clean-up of supplies for planned activities.
• Report incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Provide timely input on needed program supplies and materials.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with all other staff members.
• Perform and promote all activities in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.
• Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a current Beaufort County School District Employee.
