What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse—Ambulatory Care position at BEATRICE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL & HEALTH CENTER?
Job Duties:
Works collaboratively with patients, families and other health care providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of assigned patients. Follows nursing Standards of Practice to ensure quality, safe patient care. Provides supervisory oversight to assigned staff, and effectively manages supplies, equipment and other resources.
Qualifications:
Nursing Associate Degree or Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Nebraska or Compact state; Current CPR/BLS. ACLS and PALS within one year of hire
Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 36-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week
Shifts may vary from 8, 10, or 12 hours per day depending on case load, with hours ranging from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
This position includes participating in a shared call rotation, with a 20–30 minute response time. Team members typically cover 8–9 call shifts per month, including one full weekend.
Prior to being included in the call coverage you will cross-train to the Operating Room (OR), offering expanded skills and valuable procedural experience. Our team is very flexible, and call shifts can often be traded when needed.
