What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Assistant—BCH Laboratory position at BEATRICE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL & HEALTH CENTER?
Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, as assigned, the Laboratory Assistant performs venipuncture and related phlebotomy procedures, provides clerical support to the department, and performs billing and coding functions.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training/education preferred, such as completion of Medical Assistant program, Phlebotomy training, coursework in medical terminology. Phlebotomist or other healthcare certification preferred. < 1 year Experience in a laboratory environment preferred; experience may substitute for post-secondary education.
Shift Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
