IT Field Service Technician
Pay rate: $24 per hour
Location: Georgetown, DE 19947
Schedule: Flexible scheduling, M-S (5 day work week) 8-5 Overtime and On-call between 5PM and 10PM rotating
Reports To: Field Services Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Field Technician to support restaurant technology systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, networking equipment, and other restaurant-specific hardware and software. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide timely on-site support for restaurant staff and management.
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and test hardware and software components.
- Perform quarterly preventative maintenance, including some after-hours work.
Networking & Cable Management
- Terminate, test, and replace network cables (Cat5/Cat6/Cat7).
- Organize and maintain clean, efficient cable layouts for optimal network performance.
Training & Documentation
- Train restaurant staff on new systems and processes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of support requests, configurations, and installations.
Asset & Inventory Management
- Track and manage hardware, software licenses, and inventory levels.
- Support rollout and upgrade projects across multiple restaurant locations.
Security & Infrastructure
- Maintain secure and efficient network infrastructure.
- Support online ordering, delivery platforms, and integrated restaurant technologies.
QualificationsTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant technology preferred.
- Ability to install, terminate, and troubleshoot network cabling.
Certifications
- CompTIA A and Network preferred, or 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use a ladder (up to 10 ft reach).
- General contractor skills including use of drills and mounting hardware into walls or countertops.
Other Requirements

- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Must complete client-specific training and pass certification exam.
