Information Technology Field Technician

Field Dispatch / Field Technician

Pay Rate: 20.00-21.00/hr, paid weekly

Location: Idaho Falls, ID 83402 (must live within 50-mile radius)

Travel: Local travel required (50–100 miles per day)

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• On-Call Rotation: Yes (once fully trained)
• Overtime : As needed

Role Overview

This role supports remote field dispatch with local travel for daily service calls. Candidates must be self-directed, organized, and comfortable working independently while providing excellent customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites using a personal vehicle
• Maintain clear and accurate communication and documentation
• Provide professional, customer-facing technical support
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
• Document, upgrade, or replace hardware and software as needed
• Support and maintain user accounts, security permissions, and system access
• Identify, analyze, and resolve product failures
• Order and replace parts when required
• Train end users on systems and equipment
• Recommend products or services that best meet customer needs

Requirements:

• Drug test and background screening
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle-MVR
• Excellent customer service skills, even under pressure
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with printer maintenance or POS systems
• A or Lexmark certification (preferred, not required)
• A certification required within 6 months of conversion
