POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of The Epicenter, including the bowling lanes, digital arcade games, jump zone, movie theatre, laser tag equipment, and other amenities. This individual will work closely with The Epicenter Manager and ensure the center's equipment and facilities are safe, operational, and well-maintained to provide an optimal guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Maintains overall integrity of the facility and outbuildings
- Duties may include repair, maintenance or new construction involving plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, concrete, or HVAC equipment
- Assures quality guest service to patrons during scheduled shift
- Adheres to all company Policies and Procedures
- Communicates any observed departmental problems to supervisor
- Maintain and repair equipment and buildings by performing a variety of semi-skilled electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning and mechanical repair work
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, faucets and pipes; clear obstructions from lines
- Maintain all bowling lanes including oiling, conditioning, and cleaning.
- Manage the inventory of parts and backup components for pinsetter machines and other equipment.
- Inspect and maintain refrigeration and freezing units, promptly reporting deficiencies to the F&B Supervisor and General Manager.
- Create and maintain inspection logs for all facility electrical and fire suppression systems.
- Perform basic carpentry work including repairing of cabinets, partitions, walls, windows, doors
- Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs and safety issues
- Maintain and repair a variety of floor coverings such as carpeting, tile, VCT and wood
- Operate, maintain and repair a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, sewer augers, and various hand tools required for basic electrical, basic plumbing, and maintenance work
- Perform regular theatre maintenance tasks, such as rotating or replacing xenon bulbs, cleaning projectors and lenses, lubricating machinery, and keeping electrical contacts clean and tight.
- Perform minor theatre repairs, such as replacing worn sprockets, or notify maintenance personnel of the need for major repairs
- Read and interpret sketches, diagrams and blueprints
- Repair and maintain electrical lighting systems and fixtures
- Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance records and logs
- May perform custodial duties
- Attends all required meetings and trainings and maintains confidentiality at all times
- Performs general manual labor task including loading, unloading, lifting and moving of materials
- Monitors the facility and grounds as assigned to ensure cleanliness and proper aesthetics of the property
- Completes work requests as assigned
- Keep storage facilities neat and orderly
- Maintains continuity among shift by documenting engineering actions: noting system or equipment irregularities requiring continued monitoring
- Cross train in other Epicenter roles to provide back up as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned
AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Shall provide management responsibilities to The Epicenter Facilities Workers. This shall include, but is not limited to; implement training programs, scheduling, time keeping, evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary action.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Persons with convictions of serious misdemeanors and felonies will not be cleared and may not be hired.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age
- Must have High School diploma or GED
- Must have two (3)/years of technical background experience in one or more of the following:
- Facilities Engineer or similar role
- HVAC
- Construction
- Preventative maintenance
- Mechanical Skills
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Must have one (1)/years of supervisory experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Shall possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.
- Must provide or obtain the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and maintain during employment.
- Must provide or obtain CPR & First Aide certification within three (3) months of hire.
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
- Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

- Work hard to maintain and promote a positive work environment.

- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
- Must be able to have a safe and neat uniform consisting of black pants and nonslip shoes. Only a uniform top will be checked out to employees.
