CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

SUMMARY: Bear Real Estate Group is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the onsite execution of a major rehabilitation project at Ravine Terrace, a 98-unit senior housing community built in 1964. This HUD-funded Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) project includes extensive upgrades, system replacements, and interior reconfigurations that will modernize the building and expand high-quality affordable housing options for low-income seniors in Waukegan, Illinois.The Superintendent will oversee all field operations, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards, and deliver the project on schedule and within budget.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Superintendent will be responsible for all functions of the job site as it relates to day to day on-site construction activities. The position must be able to manage multiple projects and multiple subcontractors from site development through occupancy while monitoring job costs, construction quality and scheduling. Initial Job Site Set Up (Construction Fence, Trailer, Temp Elec, etc)Plan and direct construction activities of the Subcontractors, Laborers, and other staff as assignedResponsible for construction and presentation of the project in a timely mannerScheduling of all subcontractorsApproves work being performed by subcontractors and handles any issues that may arise.
