What are the responsibilities and job description for the APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position at Bear Real Estate Group?
SUMMARY: Bear Real Estate Group is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our stunning, Mariner property located in St. Francis, WI. You will work amongst a team of professionals within a breathtaking community with premium amenities.
You’ll be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep and functionality of the property, including residential units, common areas, and building systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests and work orders from residents and management.
- Conduct inspections of apartments and common areas to identify and resolve issues.
- Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Maintain grounds and common areas, including trash removal, landscaping, and snow removal as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Assist with emergency maintenance as needed, including after-hours on-call duties.
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
- Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
- 2 years of experience in apartment or facilities maintenance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity without direct supervision.
- Detail oriented.
