Duties
- Greet customers warmly, assist with fueling, and answer questions about products and services
- Operate the POS system accurately for cash, credit, and mobile payments while handling cash responsibly
- Upsell convenience items, snacks, beverages, and car accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain clean fueling areas, store shelves, and merchandising displays to ensure a tidy environment
- Stock shelves and replenish inventory regularly to meet customer demand
- Conduct product demos or promotions when appropriate to enhance customer engagement
- Enforce safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of fuel pumps and safety equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
- Manage phone inquiries professionally using proper phone etiquette
- Assist with basic store operations such as merchandising, stocking, and inventory checks
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures for accurate transactions
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for team support roles
- Ability to perform retail math calculations confidently for sales totals and change management
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual settings to serve diverse customers effectively
- Experience in grocery or retail stores is beneficial for understanding product placement and merchandising techniques
- Knowledge of upselling strategies to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
