Hotel Room Attendant – Job Description
A Hotel Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and well-presented guest rooms while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and assigned public areas.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures.
- Replenish guest room supplies such as soap, shampoo, coffee, and drinking water.
- Inspect rooms to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Handle lost and found items according to hotel policies.
- Respond promptly to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow health, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and maintain housekeeping supplies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Experience:
- Cleaning Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
