Job Summary

Beanstalk HQ is seeking a warm, attentive, and energetic Play Supervisor to join our play space team. You'll spend your shift directly with children ages 18 months–6 years, leading activities, supervising free play, and making sure every child feels safe, engaged, and cared for while their parent works or recharges nearby. This is a hands-on, floor-based role — you'll be in the play area with kids for the majority of your shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and actively engage with children during supervised play sessions
• Lead and support age-appropriate activities and structured programming (e.g., themed crafts, science days, music and movement)
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Help children navigate conflicts, transitions, and behavioral moments with patience and consistency
• Help with clean up of the whole space after each shift
• Assist with check-in/check-out procedures for children and guardians as needed
• Build friendly, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers
• Support the cafe or front desk team during peak times, if needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience with children preferred (childcare, babysitting, early childhood education, camp counseling, or similar)
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with kids in a group setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a small team
• Willing to be trained and certified to perform CPR and First Aid
• Must meet state requirements for the position, including PA/FBI Clearances and Background Checks (we can help guide you through this)

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to actively move around the play space and get down to a child's level throughout the shift
