Specialty Carpenter /Installer
Lilliput Play Homes, a contractor specializing in constructing and installation of upscale children's playhouse and themed entertainment environments is seeking a skilled craftsman to add to our installation team.
If you enjoy visiting new cities and work that is interesting and not repetitive, you may want to consider this position. This position requires availability for short term domestic and possible occasional international travel by plane or truck. Travel is often to upscale homes, or to businesses locations in larger US cities. Installation sites are in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be available for travel Monday through Friday, although most weeks do not include a full week of travel. When not traveling during the work week, work may be assigned to assist with fabrication in the Finleyville shop as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work in a team environment to install prefabricated product
- Diagnosing and resolving issues or problems that arise during installation, making necessary adjustments or repairs
- Working with client to meet their goals and vision
- Air and road travel
- Ensuring all finished work matches Lilliput’s high standard of workmanship.
Skills
- Ability to travel short term
- Ability to communicate clearly with other team members and customers
- Ability to work with others
- Painting and carpentry skills are a plus
- Good physical condition and endurance - Some lifting and construction required.
- Ability to adapt as needed to circumstances presented.
- Good understanding of English
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines
- Driver's License
- Good understanding of basic math
Starting at $20-$22 / hour
Plus installation commissions ($10,000-$20,000 annually)
