What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant position at Beanstalk Academy?
Beanstalk Academy is looking for Experienced Motivated Teacher Assistants to work in our dynamic, growing early childhood centers. Training would be provided. The Teacher’s Assistant would be working collaboratively with the Head Teacher to:
Responsibilities:
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Develop schedules, lesson plans, and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age and a High School graduate
- Child Development Associates Credential (CDA) certificate or completed or be enrolled in a BS/BA in Early Childhood Education AND have a Teaching Assistant - Level I, II, or III Certificate.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Passion for educating children
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
