Epic Certified Integration Analyst – InterSystems Platform Specialist
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term contract
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Epic Certified Integration Analyst with strong expertise in InterSystems technologies (Caché, IRIS, HealthShare). The analyst will design, implement, and maintain integration solutions within the Epic EHR ecosystem, ensuring seamless and secure data flow across all clinical and enterprise applications.
Primary ResponsibilitiesEpic Integration & Configuration
- Develop integration solutions using Epic Bridges, interfaces, and middleware
- Configure Epic master files, workflows, and user settings
- Build and test reporting solutions and analytics
- Manage Epic security, access controls, and role permissions
- Troubleshoot Epic issues and escalate to Epic support when needed
InterSystems Platform Administration
- Administer and maintain InterSystems Caché/IRIS environments
- Implement high-availability and disaster recovery setups
- Monitor system performance and optimize as needed
- Manage backups, restores, and data archiving
- Configure and maintain HealthShare for interoperability
Interface Development & Maintenance
- Develop and maintain HL7 and other healthcare protocol interfaces
- Create ObjectScript routines for data transformation and validation
- Deploy solutions using Ensemble, IRIS for Health, or HealthShare
- Document interface logic, mappings, and configurations
- Perform regression testing after deployments
System Integration & Optimization
- Work with clinical/business teams to gather requirements
- Ensure compliance with HL7, HIPAA, HITECH standards
- Monitor production interfaces and resolve data integrity issues
- Optimize processing performance and system throughput
- Provide technical support and documentation
Project Management & Documentation
- Support upgrades and new system implementations
- Maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and DR procedures
- Collaborate with Epic and InterSystems support teams
- Participate in change control and maintain change logs
- Assist Service Desk with interface-related issues
Required Qualifications
- Epic Certification (ECP) in Integration, Infrastructure, or relevant modules
- 3 years experience with InterSystems Caché, IRIS, or HealthShare
- 4 years healthcare integration experience
- Strong skills in:
- HL7 messaging
- ObjectScript programming
- SQL and database administration
- Interface engines and middleware
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and EHR systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple Epic ECP certifications
- Advanced InterSystems or IRIS certifications
- Experience with Epic Bridges, Beaker integrations
- Healthcare data warehousing or analytics background
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security )
- Experience with FHIR, APIs, and cloud-based platforms
- Agile/PM experience in healthcare IT
