Primary Responsibilities
- Always be compliant with all company and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage the daily billing workflow, including invoice preparation, charge entry, claims submission, and payment posting.
- Ensure all billing is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines.
- Monitor aging reports and work with staff to resolve denials, discrepancies, and outstanding balances.
- Review and approve billing adjustments, write-offs, and corrections.
- Supervise, train, and support billing staff; assign workloads and manage performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Ensure staff compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Serve as the point of contact for escalated billing questions and client/payer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of billing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of billing procedures, coding (if healthcare), and reimbursement processes.
