What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workers' Compensation Paralegal position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Workers' Compensation Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys with Missouri and Illinois workers' compensation matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation support experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-volume case files in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage and organize litigation files, case documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery, records, and exhibits through trial preparation using case and document management systems.
- Review and analyze medical records, transcripts, and case materials to prepare chronologies, summaries, case analyses, and issue outlines.
- Assist with discovery, evidence preparation, expert coordination, witness interviews, depositions, independent medical examinations, document production, e-discovery review, and trial support.
- Conduct research and investigations using online resources, legal research platforms, public records, libraries, and other relevant sources; assist with time entry, billing support, and expense reimbursements as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling Workers' Compensation matters.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court deadlines, administrative agency rules, and case management procedures.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
- General knowledge of medical terminology and experience reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing medical records.
