Property Accountant

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a locally based firm in the search for a Property Accountant to join their growing team. This individual will be working directly with the CEO and COO and will be responsible for full-cycle accounting operations with a select group of properties. Prior experience working with Yardi is needed for success in the role. Additional experience across a variety of properties (residential, commercial, etc.) is also preferred. This is an onsite job that will require candidates to be in-office five days per week in their DC based headquarters. If interested, don't hesitate to apply with your most up-to-date resume!

Essential Job Duties

• Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for assigned properties
• Perform CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and process year-end tenant billings
• Reconcile bank accounts, security deposits, rent rolls, and tenant ledgers
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger activity for each property
• Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to resolve tenant billing or expense issues
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
