Legal Assistant

Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a respected Texas-based law firm to identify a Legal Assistant for its Dallas office. This role will provide high-level administrative and legal support within the firm's estate and tax planning practice. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity requiring onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, and revise estate planning and probate documents, including wills, trusts, and tax filings (Forms 706 & 709)
• Draft and edit client correspondence and legal documents
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and appointments across multiple matters
• Open, organize, and maintain client files (electronic and physical)
• Coordinate calls, meetings, and travel arrangements
• Handle incoming calls and client communication with professionalism
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and assist with billing review
• Enter and track attorney time accurately
• Support e-filing in federal and state courts as needed
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, staff, and clients to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications

• Experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and proofreading abilities
• Team-oriented with a client-service mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented professional able to take initiative, work effectively under pressure, and maintain strict confidentiality while delivering high-quality work
