Overview
We are seeking a senior technology leader to drive execution across a broad IT environment spanning application development, QA, and infrastructure. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to translate strategy into delivery, while leading a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
This role is ideal for a people-first leader with a strong technical foundation and a proven ability to lead through managers, align teams, and deliver results across multiple initiatives.
What You'll Do
Lead day-to-day operations across software engineering, quality assurance, and infrastructure (cloud, DevOps, databases)
Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable delivery plans and ensure execution across teams
Drive alignment across internal teams and external partners
Establish effective processes, governance frameworks, and operating rhythms
Oversee the full software development lifecycle (planning through production support)
Promote best practices across development, testing, security, and deployment
Implement delivery metrics and KPIs to improve quality, predictability, and performance
Support and evolve a modern technology environment, including cloud-based platforms
Ensure alignment with architecture standards, security best practices, and compliance requirements
Identify risks, manage dependencies, and adjust plans to meet delivery timelines
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define priorities and success criteria
Lead and develop a team of managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
Manage resource planning and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives
What We're Looking For
Strong leadership experience with the ability to build alignment, drive accountability, and develop teams
Proven success leading through managers and overseeing teams of ~15-25 resources
Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities
Broad technical background across application development, QA, and infrastructure
Experience working in small to mid-sized environments where leaders have wide exposure across IT functions
Strong operational mindset with focus on execution, prioritization, and delivery
Qualifications
10 years of experience in software engineering, cloud, or DevOps environments
5 years leading technical teams or engineering organizations
Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and modern development practices
Background supporting production systems, monitoring, and incident response
Experience defining requirements, architecture, and testing strategies
Technical Experience (Preferred)
Modern application development (e.g., C#, JavaScript, or similar)
Database design and data platforms (SQL or equivalent)
Cloud platforms and distributed systems
DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Additional Info
Experience working with distributed teams is a plus
Exposure to cloud cost management and platform operations preferred
Flexibility to support occasional off-hours activities as needed
