What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Transactional Legal Assistant position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill is seeking a Corporate Transactional Legal Assistant for a 100% onsite, contract-to-hire position with our client in Downtown Dallas. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during stadard business hours.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Convert handwritten draft notes or tape dictation into typed quality from correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other documents
- Organize and maintain correspondence, document, and computer-based files
- Provide telephone coverage for team, deliver messages
- Teleconferencing and arranging conference calls
- Arranges appointments, coordinate meetings, makes travel arrangements (including flight/hotel reservations), and submits reimbursement requests
- Performs various support services (e.g., courier deliveries, document processing center assistance, conference room reservations)
- Work with a variety of assigned attorneys and practice group areas as needed
- Work on complex organizational charts
- Online filing for Secretary of State website and determining name availability
- Draft formation documents
- Prepare electronic closing binders
- Assist with the preparation of private offering documents
- Arrange attendance for CLE course and keep track of attorney CLE hours
- Review, correct, and disburse pre-bills and invoices
Requirements:
- 4 years experience as a Corporate or Transactional Legal Assistant is required
- Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, particularly in a corporate or regulatory context
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong document formatting, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, smaller‑firm setting
- Ability to commute Monday - Friday to Downtown Dallas
