What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Markets Paralegal position at Beacon Hill?
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple corporate and capital markets transactions with minimal supervision.
- Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents for accuracy, content, and formatting.
- Assist with securities offerings, public company filings, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, maintain transaction checklists, and support closing activities.
- Prepare corporate records, board materials, resolutions, questionnaires, and transaction documents.
- Conduct legal and factual research using various research platforms and public databases.
- Organize and maintain confidential client and transaction information.
- Support pre-closing, closing, and post-closing requirements.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- 8 years of corporate or capital markets paralegal experience.
- Experience supporting IPOs, SEC filings, public company compliance, and securities transactions.
- Strong understanding of corporate and securities laws and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent research, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of public company reporting, stock exchange filings, equity management, and transactional documentation.
