A well-established nonprofit organization in Santa Monica is seeking a professional and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys a mission-driven environment and thrives in a fast-paced administrative role. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to leadership and staff, coordinate office activities, maintain records, and assist with community and donor communications.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference room logistics.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Assist with data entry, database updates, and record maintenance.
- Coordinate office supplies, vendor orders, and general office operations.
- Support donor, volunteer, and community outreach communications.
- Assist with event planning, fundraising activities, and special projects.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Take meeting notes and distribute minutes when needed.
- Provide general administrative support to leadership and program teams.
- 2 years of administrative assistant, office coordinator, or office support experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a nonprofit environment is a plus.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
