Senior Accountant - Bedford, MA (Hybrid)
Our client, a company in the life sciences industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role will support general ledger, audit, and financial reporting activities in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month- and quarter-end close
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting documentation and audit trail
- Perform analysis to explain accounting results and trends
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and process accounting information
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audit activities
- Assist with SOX compliance and internal controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 5 years of general ledger and accounting experience
- Audit background strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
