Part Time Controller / CFO – Remote but must be local to Boston, MA
Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a part-time finance leader to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and grant-related activities. This hands-on role will support day-to-day financial management while providing strategic guidance to organizational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting processes.
- Support grant administration, compliance, and financial tracking activities.
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
- Oversee payroll, invoicing, and other routine financial functions.
- Coordinate audit preparation and support regulatory reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to organizational leadership.
Qualifications
- 10 years of accounting, finance, or financial leadership experience.
- Significant nonprofit accounting experience.
- Experience managing federal and state grants.
- Advanced QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel skills required.
