Bookkeeper – Hartford, CT
Our client, a property management and real estate services organization, is seeking a Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations across a portfolio of properties. This role will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and process routine accounting transactions
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate account discrepancies
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes
- Prepare financial reports and maintain supporting documentation
- Monitor vendor and customer account activity and address related inquiries
- Support budgeting, audit preparation, and compliance-related activities
Qualifications
- 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Associate degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Experience with affordable housing, HUD, or regulated accounting environments is a plus
