Overview
Art Crating, Inc, Archive Fine Art, Inc., and ACLA, LLC (3 sister companies) are high-end art handling companies seeking a full-time Bookkeeper and Administrator to work in Glastonbury, CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a challenging work environment. To excel in the position, it is expected that the individual demonstrates initiative and embraces added responsibility as the level of experience develops. The company encourages creative problem-solving, empowering all to further refine and deepen their knowledge of Administrative and Clerical skills. Ideally, applicant has 5 years of experience working as a bookkeeper and administrator, including mastery/familiarity with tasks and skills listed below; especially the ones with asterisks. This position is full-time with some overtime (40-hour week ).
Duties
-Oversee Operating Company’s books and collaborate with President
-Downloading Bank Transactions Daily
-Tracking Credit Card Transactions
-Paying Vendors
-Monthly Reconciling
-Tax Preparation and payments
-Assist with billing/collection, process credit cards
-Assist with Human Resources
-Assist with Payroll
-Assist with insurance-related tasks
-Assist with Miscellaneous Office Duties
-fielding phone calls and emails*
-data entry*
-generate spreadsheets*
-processing paperwork, maintaining both electronic and paper filing systems
Ideal Candidate
-familiarity with Mac-based platform:
QuickBooks online*
FileMaker Pro
Word, Excel*
Google Docs*
Photoshop
-Writing skills*
-Familiar with email and phone etiquette*
-5 years Bookkeeping Experience *
-College degree mandatory*
-Mathematical experience a plus
