Staff Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to provide temporary support to senior leadership during a high-volume period. This individual will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations while contributing to process improvements and special projects.

• Partner with senior finance leadership to support daily accounting activities and ongoing initiatives during peak workload periods
• Assist with financial tracking and reporting related to events or projects, including monitoring expenses and ensuring accurate budget reconciliation
• Maintain fixed asset records, including tracking additions and disposals, calculating depreciation, and ensuring alignment with the general ledger
• Support general ledger activities such as preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close processes
• Contribute to the review and enhancement of accounting procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and support evolving accounting operations
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource by applying strong understanding of accounting principles and terminology
• Ensure all work aligns with internal policies and standard accounting practices (GAAP)

• Strong foundation in accounting principles with hands-on general ledger experience
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Prior exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
• Strong interpersonal presence-able to communicate effectively and build relationships across teams
• Professional and approachable demeanor, with the ability to work well in a people-facing environment
